Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry Jenna

Abby and I are reading the same book together called Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry. We just started it. We choose to read this book because Mrs. Becicka and other students in our class said it was a really good book. So far the main character is Cassie. And this book was written when slavery was over but there was segregation. Cassie has one older brother named, Stacy and two younger brothers. The second to youngest brother's name is Christopher-John and the youngest brothers name is Little Man. Right now they are on there way to there first day of school. They are walking with one of Stacey's friends named TJ and no one in the family really likes TJ especially Cassie, but Stacey is the only one in the family that likes him. TJ has a little brother, Claude and he is friends with Christopher-John. Claude is scared of TJ so he kind of sucks up to him and goes along with punishments he doesn't diserve just because TJ uses Claude as an excuse so then TJ doesn't get in trouble. but that is were we left off and we haven't gotten any farther yet, but so far I think this is going to be a good book.
