This blog site is used by my 5/6 grade literacy students. We integrate our literacy with our social studies learning so connections to our writings are connected to this site also. We use this blog to communicate our literacy and social studies experiences. It is our hope that it will be an interactive blog with relevant comments peer to peer and also family members, other educators, and/or interested people. Our blog will continue to change with our learning.

Tween Tribune Jenna
I read a article in tween tribune and it is called, Should family be allowed to keep their tigers? This family has been raising 7 tigers since the tigers were just cubs because they breed some so they were little when he was taking care of them. But now the government wants to take them away and put them in the zoo because they are wild animals and they could hurt the family. But the family that is taking care of them said that the tigers sleep with their kids until they got too big and the older daughter has a 2 year old and allows for her to sit atop the tigers. The government doesn't think that's safe and they think that the tigers think of the kids as there prey but the tigers have never hurt anybody. I think that since they have raised them since they were little they should be allowed to keep them because they wont know how to survive by themselves.
