Racing in the rain- Abby Long

I am reading Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. I am on page 9, it is pretty confusing in the beginning but it's starting to make more sense. Enzo is a golden retriever that is really old and in lots of pain. The owner: Danny is taking the dog to the vet again.. He has been to the vet many times before, which tells me that he is pretty old.  I am on chapter 2 and I think it will get more exciting and interesting as I read. Jenna told me it was a really good book and that I had to read it, so I am going to taker her word for it and not abandon it.
