The Song of the Sparrow

The Song of the Sparrow is about a girl named Elaine who is living on a army base with king Aurthur as their leader but he is not king yet. She has a father and 2 brothers but her mother was killed by some of their enemy's.She is very lonely because she is the only female at the base besides Aurthur older sister who barley ever comes out of her tent. She falls in love with her friend Lancelot but finds out he falls in love with with a new girl named Guenevere that's new to the base. When the Saxons poison their former leader the army goes and fights back. Elaine is very worried more worried then she has ever been before when they went to battle. Because she is worried she follows the army with the medicine to heal them if they need it. Gwenevre followed her and they got captured by the saxons. They over heard the saxon spy said they could ambush them near the river while they were sleeping. The two girls had to escape and warn the men, Elaine would be the distraction and Gwenevre would warn them. While Elaine was being chased the saxons they were shooting arrows one went in her chest        
 and she fell in to a boat. When she woke up she was in a tent while Gwenevre was takeing care of her
and aurthur came in and said that they won the land. Everyone was glad she was ok, when they got back they weren't in the army base any more they were in Camelot.

I love The Song of the Sparrow because it is about a heroic girl that saves king Aurthur and his army. With her heroic action the army was able to difeat the saxons to own the land and start the kingdom of camelot.
